Chair Yoga Accessible for All

Chair yoga is accessible for all including seniors and those who lack mobility or who have received recent injuries.  These classes are kind and gentle, ideal for seniors.

You will reduce the risk of falls by strengthening your muscles.  You will also boost your mood while relieving stress and anxiety. A further benefit will be an increase in your energy levels (exercise releases endorphins) and you will also be able to enjoy meeting new people..

If you haven’t exercised in a while, there is no need to worry, you will find chair yoga gentle, enjoyable and relaxing.  However, if you are used to exercise and would like to do a little more then the classes can be tailored to your needs.

Chair Yoga accessible for all will help you to maintain healthy weight, improve memory and thinking skills and increase confidence.  Reducing stress and anxiety will make a difference in your life.

Seated yoga is a general term for practices that modify yoga poses so that they can be done while seated in a chair.

These modifications make yoga accessible for everyone.  For those who cannot stand, have balance impairment, disabilities or lack the mobility to move easily from standing to supine positions.

While seated on chairs, students can do versions of twist, hip stretches, forward bends and mild back bends.

Chair pose is a defiance of spirit, showing how high you can reach even when you’re forced down.


Classes are engaging, interactive and supportive, in a safe environment.   You will also learn techniques to release tension in the limbs and relax muscular tension in the joints.

Sessions include Asana (postures), Pranayama (breath) and meditation.  Classes are small and welcoming with a relaxing atmosphere, candles, low lighting and incense aroma to increase relaxation.

Workshops to Strengthen Body & Mind

Yoga Workshops to strengthen your body and mind.  Reduce stress, anxiety and pain. Throughout the workshop we focus on asanas (postures). This focus will improve your strength and flexibility, and reduce pain and stress.  We will also focus on alignment and the benefits of each asana.  There will also be the chance to discuss progression and ask questions.
